The following ministries give service and support to those in need in our and neighboring communities. They often work behind the scenes unheralded giving generously of their time and effort. If you are interested in any of these, please call the rectory 973.325.0110 for more information.
The Bereavement Ministry was formed to help provide solace and understanding to those experiencing grief and sorrow over the loss of a loved one. There are several ways to help contribute toward that goal. Also, the ministry sponsors events designed to help provide information and/or guidance and/or comfort that can be beneficial now or later on.
St. Vincent de Paul Society
The St. Vincent de Paul Society provides practical and compassionate caring for the basic needs of food, shelter, clothing, etc. to the poor and needy. We host the soup kitchen at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church four times a year. Volunteers from the parish are welcome to join us to cook and/or serve a hot meal to the needy.
This also includes our quarterly visits to Christine's Kitchen to serve the needy of our neighborhood. This is located down the street from Lourdes at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
Legion of Mary
Legionaries provide a vital role in visiting and attending to the sick, elderly, shut-ins and disabled of our Parish Community. They are most instrumental in preparing and managing our annual Anointing of the Sick.
This ministry seeks to answer the call stated in our Mission Statement to Respect Life at all stages. It promotes this whenever possible by service, prayer and representation.
Sharing God's Blessings / Annual Appeal
Supporting the Annual Appeal is an opportunity to provide hope, faith and love to so many in our community. The appeal helps the hungry, the homeless, and the sick. It also provides for religious education and makes our faith a reality for thousands in Northern New Jersey.
