Catechists

Anyone desiring to be a Catechist or assist in thefollowing ministries may contact Father Jim Ferry 973.325.0110 ext. 113. According to our National Directory for Catechesis, “the object of catechesis is communion with Jesus Christ. Catechesis leads people to enter the mystery of Christ, to encounter Him, and to discover themselves and the meaning of their lives in Him.”
Its tasks are to promote knowledge of the faith, the meaning of the Liturgy, moral formation in Jesus Christ, prayer and preparation to live in community and to participate actively in the life and mission of the Church. Our first and primary catechists are our parents.
